CubiScan dimensions and weights - volumetric accuracy

**********

The CubiScan is an automated cubing and weighing device, that measures product, parcel and pallet dimensions and weight. This information is often critical to an effective and optimised supply chain. Information captured by a tape measure and a set of scales is no longer acceptable for today's sophisticated IT systems that use this information to optimise performance and drive productivity throughout the supply chain. **********

Warehouse Management Systems

Operators are human, and all it takes is for a measurement to be taken incorrectly and systems will not work effectively using in-accurate data. This can impact warehousing application performance where product cube, weight and height are used in put-away, replenishment, dispatch and delivery algorithms.

Parcel and Freight Forwarders

In the parcel and freight forwarding industry an incorrect measurement can mean an incorrect tariff calculation, which in turn can lead to lost revenue or lost customers.

Merchandising Applications

Import accurate product dimensions into planograms to ensure optimum use of space on the shelf edge.

Static or Mobile

The CubiScan comes as a static device, but can be made portable via the addition of the mobile scanning station. In a warehouse this improves the speed of a product information capture as the cubiscan is taken to the product and whole sections of a warehouse can be measured in a short amount of time.

Software

There are a number of software options available to ensure that transfer of data from the cubiscan to the target system either via file transfers, online emulation or export to other applications (e.g. Microsoft Excel).
